Plain answers about what this site collects and why. HIU is a small Kathmandu company; we collect what an order needs, and nothing more.

01 · What we collect

When you place an order: your name, email, phone number, and delivery address. At checkout you can optionally share a delivery-location pin to help our rider find you — only if you tap the button yourself.

When you create an account: the same details, plus a password for signing in. When you join the newsletter: your email. When you request a repair: your contact details, the product, and what failed.

If you opt in to the WhatsApp community at checkout, we use your phone number to send the HIU Trails invite — the monthly trail meet. That is the only thing the opt-in is used for.

02 · Why we collect it

To confirm and deliver your order. To keep repair records under HIU Mends, so your product’s history is known when it comes back to the bench. To send the HIU Trails invite you asked for. And to reply when you write to us.

03 · What we do not do

This site runs no third-party advertising trackers and no analytics pixels. We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone, and we do not send marketing messages you did not opt in to.

04 · Cookies and storage

A session cookie keeps you signed in to your account. After checkout, your browser briefly holds the order confirmation so the success page can show it. That is the extent of it.

05 · Your choices

Ask us to correct or delete your details at any time. Unsubscribe from the newsletter whenever you like. The WhatsApp community is opt-in, and leaving it is one tap — no questions asked.

06 · Contact

Message us on Instagram @hiu.nepal or Facebook. We aim to reply within two hours.
